By employing a flow trigger system, the ART-1000 eliminates a number of the disadvantages found in units with a conventional pressure trigger system, such as:
¨ç The larger the respiration circuit volume, the more time required until negative pressure is available, thus lengthened response time;
¨è Lowered response to constant circuit flow;
¨é Excessive increase of trigger sensitivity causes the unit to vibrate.
